Amalia Melis is a writer/assemblage maker who tells stories with text/found objects. She is creator of the Aegean Arts Circle writing workshops in Andros, Greece. A New Yorker, her heart lives in Andros where her family originates from. Her favorite subject to explore is the displaced soul—one who loses a homeland only to get caught longing for home no matter where she lives. She is a reporter, essayist, and fiction writer. Stories are all around us.
