Our 2026 Fresh Voices Fellow: Julia Hou

Epiphany is thrilled to announce our 2026 Fresh Voices Fellow, Julia Hou!

Julia Hou is a writer and software engineer based in Brooklyn. Her work appears or is forthcoming in New Letters, Fourteen Hills, and Brevity. She is a two-time Pushcart nominee and the recipient of a Vermont Studio Center fellowship, and has also received support for her fiction from Bread Loaf, Tin House, and The Kenyon Review.

We also want to extend a warm congratulations to our very talented group of finalists:

Over the course of her fellowship Hou will be working with the editorial team on selecting and editing pieces for publication as well as developing her own speculative short story collection inspired by grief, selfhood, and the American immigrant experience. We are honored to have her as a part of the team. Thank you so much to everyone who applied this year, and stay tuned for next year’s round of applications!
